AUCTION RULES
• Registration will open at 10:00am. Non-registered buyers must pay cash at the time of
sale. Registered buyers must leave collateral in the form of a driver’s license or id
card and will be able to run a tab during the auction. Accounts must be paid in full at
the end of the auction. Payment may be made by cash or check.
• Auction will start promptly at 12:00 Noon.
• Bids will be in dollar increments.
• Express Bids: After the first table has been completed. For a $2 fee, any buyer or
seller may bring any item from any table up for immediate sale at any time during
the auction. For sellers, this is a great way to ensure that rare fish can be auctioned
during the peak period of the event. For buyers, bid on any item before you leave!
• Refreshments will be available.
SELLER RULES
• Split is 70% to the seller and 30% to GPASI.
• The auction will use the FAAS (Federation of American Aquarium Societies) “Ten Table Method.”
(Bags are to be numbered sequentially and sold in order to last digit, i.e. bags 1, 11, 21, 31, ...go
on Table 1 and all of Table 1 is sold before Table 2, etc.)
• Seller’s proceed checks will be mailed within two weeks of the auction.
• NO PRIVATE SALES.
• NO MINUMUM BIDS.
• GPASI reserves the right to refuse to sell an obviously sick or deformed fish
• All fish to be auctioned will be in suitable bags, NO Ziplocks or Baggies. Catfish,cichlids, and other
fish with sharp spines must be double bagged. There will be a $2 re-bagging fee if fish are
improperly bagged—play it safe and double bag everything!
• Bags MUST be marked clearly with this information: Seller number and bag number, your name,
phone number, scientific name of fish, common name (if applicable), actual number of fish in bag.
Appropriate terminology: PAIR=1 male,1 female same species MATED PAIR=pair that have
spawned TRIO=1 male, 2 females same species REVERSE TRIO= 2 males, 1 female same species
• Sellers are limited to the following: No more than 5 bags of any single species, color strain, or item
type.
• Please state if dry good equipment is in working order on your label!
All Items are sold “AS IS”. GPASI does not
warrant the condition or authenticity of item sold
